St Peter's Church "E News" Friday 18th September

Dear Member of St Peter’s Church,

In this fast changing environment, we may have to fine tune our arrangements for services.  Please check each Friday for any announcements in this “E News”.

This Sunday there will be The Parish Communion Service at 9.30am. Social Distancing of “one metre plus mitigation” will be in action. Please wear a face covering.

During the 9.30 am Service we will be holding another pilot Junior Church activity in the Parish Room.  Invitations have been sent out in advance.

The introduction of the “Rule of 6” has changed some of our arrangements.  Sadly, we have had to cancel both this year’s Harvest Dance and the alternative of a Harvest Picnic.

Refreshments after the morning service are on hold for the moment and today, I would encourage you to stay behind afterwards for a while and “Chat in Church”

I will pray for you all in the week ahead.

Giving and Collections

Many members of St. Peter’s kindly support the church through a donation made by standing order and Gift Aided (so that we can reclaim the tax).  This method of giving is very helpful to St. Peter’s and we are very grateful for this support.  A donation may be made in cash or by cheque using the blue envelopes at the end of a service, but it is becoming difficult to process cash and cheques.  You may like to consider making a donation online.

The “bottom line” is that we are so grateful for your support for St. Peter’s, when our income has been affected by the decrease in collections in lockdown.

Harvest Festival Service, 9.30 am Sunday 27th September

Please note the slightly earlier date for the Harvest Festival this year.  At the request of the Richmond Food Bank we will not be collecting food this year, this is because generous donations have enabled the Food Bank to meet the increasing demand for supplies.  Instead, please support the Foodbank in raising money to purchase an additional and larger van to help them with increased need.  Please follow this link to donate:

The Zoom Prayer Group on Tuesday nights at 8 pm has started again please email the Parish Office if you wish to join.

St Peter’s Church is open only on Sunday mornings. For the moment only keyholders who are part of the security monitoring arrangements may enter the church at any other time.
