My parents were given a subscription to the “Reader’s Digest” when I was a child, I can remember that “ Laughter ,the best medicine” was the section of the magazine that I used to read first every month , the title is good advice for all ages. Writing as a former teacher on the final school day of the year I would like to pay tribute to the wonderful work of all the staff of the schools in Petersham and Ham in 2020 .Our young people at St Peter’s Church also have been very well served by our dedicated Youth Leaders and Sunday Club volunteers. In these difficult times we do not have to look far for tears (tiers?) of sadness , let us try and laugh more in this season of joy. You can always turn on the News….. I will pray for you all in the week ahead. Tim Canon Tim Marwood (Vicar of Petersham) ST. Each evening a new household will join the trail, displaying their advent calendar number, the ‘what3words’coordinates for the next house on the trail and lights either inside or outside. Once their number on the calendar has passed, the homeowner will continue to light their window between 5pm and 10pm until (and including) Christmas Eve. You can choose to follow the trail from start to finish once it is all lit, or out each night to see the new window, using the ‘what3words’ app or website: https://what3words.com/clip.apples.leap
Those following the trail are politely reminded to keep their social distancing throughout. Thank you for giving to the collection or by standing order, please consider signing a Gift Aid form. Please consider giving by standing order if you do not already .For details please email: st.peters.petersham@googlemail.com The Zoom Prayer Group on Tuesday nights at 8 pm will return in January.
